Fashion Plate 03 by Ludi-Price Fashion Plate 03 by Ludi-Price
This is Sage's costume in the 'Fashion Plates' picture ([link]). By this point my creative juices were drying up, so it's not that good. But this is how I imagined the dress anyhow. I'd love to do the rest, but it seems unlikely right now... Maybe in the next year or so... ;)

You may feel like it's minimalistic, but it's perfect for your concept. The woman makes the dress, not the other way around. :)

I haven't read an X-men comic in years. Who is Sage? Is it Danielle Moonstar? I knew her as Mirage and some other name that escapes me right now, in the New Mutants. Please I'd like to know who this person is because you drew her so beautifully.=D

Sage is Tessa, Sebastian Shaw's secretary from the Hellfire Club. It turns out she was one of Xavier's first student and a plant/spy in the Hellfire Club. She joined the X-Men round about 2000 and then went into Storm's X-Treme X-Men. It seems she's defected back to the HC now, I'm not sure since I haven't really been reading Uncanny lately.

Danielle Moonstar's just called Moonstar now, and is a teacher at the Institute. :)

Thank you for answering my question. I don't remember this Sage character when the Hellfire club was first brought into the Uncanny X-men comics. I just remember all the other HC members and the fact that Jean Grey snapped and became Dark Phoenix after Mastermind messed with her head.

No problem. I think Tessa was around during the 80s, though she wasn't in it a great deal...

I love Sage! There isn't enough work with her in it (I should do some!). Anyway, I really like that outfit. I really think she would wear something like that. One question, though....doesn't she have those scars/tattoos under her eyes? I wasn't sure if you left those off for a reason. It doesn't take anything away without them, but I think it would add a lot if they were there ^_^

I didn't draw in the eye tattoos because I didn't really want it to be associated with Sage... The picture was more about the costume rather than the person - the person was just a model. If you get what I mean. ;) :)

I like the dress very very much, it's very well done, though the only part thet need alittle bit more work is the face mainly, though it's cool that way, not exactly your style. Dosn't look it.

Mine have been dried up so long, my creative side of the brain must look like a freakin' prune.

I like the dress...but I wonder if she could keep the line straight in the back. ;)

Really digging the lines on this dress. It's very stylistic and works for the fashion. Also love the placement of her hand over her head in the second pose. Very nicely done.

That dress is just stunning... The silver suits Sage's icyness too! Relatively simple design, but elegant and very stylish. I love the shoes too! I have to say her face looks a little off, her right leg could use more detail, and her neck seems a little short on the back view. But I know how it feels when you're losing the will to finish a pic and you end up rushing it :( Nevertheless, another :+fav:

Sleek! Very sleek!

While coloring myself, I thought to give Sage silver but then I thought....how in the world would I make it like...shimmer. Soo..ended up with that pink.

Love her shoes...*steals Sage's shoes and runs away cackling*

Smeg it. *swallows his pride:* Ooh-la-la. :P The linework is a cool touch; it breaks up the form and in a way that seems gentle. What gets me, lass, is how anyone could -walk- in such a thing. Let me guess- who said anything about walking: these dresses are for -posing-. :P Yeah, yeah. Sage makes a better model than Rogue, imo- it's the dark hair thing, probably. What else is different, when it's drawn -marvel-? ;)
